Building Equity Through Design and Action

We stand with our black colleagues, the black community and all people of color.

As landscape and urban designers, we know that the public realm needs to be made safe for everyone. If our public spaces aren't safe for the most vulnerable in our society, they are not available to be enjoyed by ALL.

In the short term we will donate to Black Earth Farms, an East Bay organization supporting our community. Now they have mobilized to feed protesters and organizers.

In the longer term we will create a diversity plan and engage in anti-racism workshops.

These systemic inequalities can only be dismantled in the manner they were built, with deliberate and coordinated actions. Let's build a healthier future together.
